Friday Fabulous Five

Happy Friday Everyone!! Let the weekend begin.  I am beyond ready for the weekend to be here. I've had a good week and it went by pretty quickly, but I am still finding myself exhausted on this Friday.  This weekend should be a great one, tomorrow I'm heading to Orlando for the day to visit with wonderful friends and to get a little sister time in as well (I can't wait!!!)

So here are my Fabulous Five from this week:

1) Almond Butter.   I have been wanting to try almond butter for a long time and found at target this week Maple Almond Butter sale in these little packets and thought it would be a great way to try it.  Well it was so yummy!  I had to go back and by a jar of it.  I have been enjoy the almond butter on brown sugar cinnamon toast in the morning for breakfast (and sometimes in the evenings dessert too)

2) My first referral:  I have been trying to start my own business as a pediatric speech pathologist and this week I am one step closer to making my dream come true...  I did my first evaluation as my own company!!!  It was great to be back doing therapy for a little kid. I can't wait to start therapizing the little kids again.

3) Slightly cooler weather:  We have been having pretty warm weather for this time of year and finally today we got a "cool" front and the temperature only went up to about 70 today instead of about 80.  I know that is not cold or really even cool, but in south florida its what I have to look forward to.  (sometimes I wish it would actually get cold because one of my favorite things to do is to get all bundled up on the couch or in bed and it feels kind of silly to do that when its 80 degrees outside)

4) Snuggling with my big furry boys:  My big boys have been extra snuggley this week which I have enjoyed.  I love having them curl up with me on the couch or in bed.

5) Our Bed:  This will be the last time our new bed makes it into my fabulous five, but we are finally sleeping on our new bed and Chris finished building our bed frame.  I LOVE our new bed!  It's fabulous, I love being able to spread out and still have plenty of room for Chris =)

So what made your week Fabulous?  Let me know!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Friday Fabulous Five

Well I'm a day late but better late then never I guess.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the weekend.  My saturday has been busy today as I try to de-christmas my house and put away all of my decorations (this makes me a little sad since it will be another 10-11 months before I get to pull out all of my wonderful decorations, and this also means its 10-11 months until my favorite time of the year) .

Well on to the Friday Fabulous Five!

1)  Quality Mom time:
I got to spend a little extra time this week just me and my Mom!  We met up at the mall had a some coffee and did a little shopping.  I love getting to spend time with my mom,  the older I get the more I feel blessed to have the mom I have and to have her in my life!  So getting extra mom time always is a highlight of my week.

2) Will and Grace:
I LOVE this show!! I have every season and every so often get on a kick of watching them (even though I have seen every single episode a bazillion times)  And recently I'm on one of those kicks.  My favorite season is season 5, don't really know why but I love it.  I'm very lucky to have a husband who puts up with my watching episode after episode and never complains =)

3) New Mattress:
Our new bed arrived!  I'm so excited.  We unfortunately haven't started sleeping on it yet, but that is just because My Wonderful Husband has been busy all week building us a new bed frame.  Hopefully by tomorrow we'll be ready to set up our new bed (pictures to come)

4) Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Wallflowers:
Bath and Body works was having their semi-annual sale this past week and I have able to get a bunch of wallflowers for a great price.  I really enjoy having my house smell like the scents of fall all year long, but the only problem is most stores only sell those scents well in the fall. So I was able to stock up on the sweet cinnamon pumpkin scent so I can hopefully make it until when it makes its way back into stores.

5) Over Time:
I'm really wanting to save some money and the best way I can think of that is to put my self on a strict budget (so far so good) and work as much as possible.  This week I was able to help out another nursing home and add a couple hours of overtime to my paycheck.  Yeah!!

Well enjoy the rest of your weekend everybody!  Let me know all the things that made your week Fabulous!!

Friday Fabulous Five

Happy Friday Everyone!!  Its the end of another work week and the beginning of another weekend. Hope everyone had a Fabulous week.

Tomorrow we are headed up to Cocoa for the day to see our friends Adam and Natalie and their adorable little girl Alison.

This week has flown by and was full of small (but Fabulous) things that made it great!

1)
We welcomed in 2013 at the beginning of the week.  I'm excited to see what this year has in store for us!

2)
Beautiful Sunrises!
What a way to start the day then by enjoying something wonderful to look at!

3)
I have started two new books this week.  The first is a once a day bible, I've never read the whole bible, but I'm excited to try and journey through it day by day this year! =)  The second book is just a fun read, The Hunger Games.

4)
Grapefruit!  But not just grapefruit, Grapefruit Brulee!!  So yummy.  It adds a little sweetness to the grapefruit and since the sugar is toasted under the broiler it heats up the grapefruit as well.  It has been my favorite dessert this week.

5)
So I can almost guarantee you that this one will make my list next week as well... I ordered a new mattress this week!  We will soon be the proud owners of a new king size memory foam mattress!  I can't wait to get this in next week.  I have been wanting to get a King size mattress since we moved (with Chris being 6'3" and I'm 5'10" I think we can really use the room) now we're going to have one!!!  I don't think I can fully express my excitement.  =) Once we get it into our room I will be posting pictures!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Welcoming 2013

Happy New Year everyone!

Today I started off 2013 with a Beautiful sunrise on my way into work

What a Beautiful way to start off the new year!  Hopefully this is an indication of all the wonderful things 2013 will bring!

Welcoming in 2013 means saying goodbye to 2012 which was a year full of fun, family, moving and new jobs!  Heres a quick look back at 2012:

January

We welcomed our newest furry member of our family Braxton!
Braxton went from being an 8lb puppy to a 60lb dog very quickly.  He is the sweetest boy with the best temperament. He loves to visit the residents at the nursing home were I work to brighten up their day!

February
We celebrated a nice quiet Valentine's day at home together with homemade Chocolate SoufflĂ©

March
Chris and I Celebrated my 27th Birthday with my sister Brittany and her fiance Malcolm by going to our favorite Hibachi restaurant.   There was no better way to spend my birthday then by celebrating with my family and good food!

May
In the beginning of May I went on the job interview for the Job I now have.  It was very exciting when I was offered the job and started Chris and I on this whirlwind ride of finding and buying our house moving to Stuart.

July
In Mid-July we packed up, said good-bye to our friends in Orlando, and moved to our temporary home (which happened to be just across the road from the street I grew up on).

August
We closed on our House!!

September

We celebrated Christopher's 27th Birthday with presents, pennies and cake!

October
Christopher and I hosted my sister Brittany's 21st Birthday.  We had a lot of fun with my parents, sister Beth, Malcolm and his mom.  For Brittany's birthday she wanted a bounce house so thats what she had.  I wish I had pictures, we had a great time bouncing!

November

We celebrated our 1st anniversary.  One year with this wonderful man has flown by and I can't wait to see what our 2nd year of marriage will bring us!

November also brought Thanksgiving which we were able to again celebrate with both of our families.

December

CHRISTMAS!  My favorite time of the year!  It was a great end to a wonderful year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 2012!  And I hope 2013 brings everyone many blessings in the coming year!
