Day Light Savings

Good Morning?  I'm not so sure

So how many people enjoy day light savings?
I really do enjoy having the sun out longer, but it is really hard to appreciate the benefits when I'm headed into work in complete darkness.

St Patty's Day Wreath

I was feeling Crafty the other week and Decided to make a few St Patrick's Day decorations.  The first item I made was a felt wreath.

I purchased four different shades of green and white felt (I purchased 4 sheets of each color because I made 2 wreaths, but 2 sheets of each color made both wreaths with some left overs)
1) I cut the sheets of felt in have
2) The sheets were cut into 1 inch strips

3) Using fabric glue and sewing pins I secured the felt to the wreath (I ended up just pushing the pins all the way into the wreath to secure the felt in place,  If you don't want to use the pins Fabric glue should probably be used on the whole strip of felt not just on the back)

All of the Felt on the wreath!  I then made a bow out of St Patty's day ribbon to use to hang it.

The finished product!  A pretty Felt Wreath, a fast and easy craft!!

Friday Fabulous Five

Thank goodness it's FRIDAY!!!  I know I have been slacking here, but these past few weeks have been super busy at work an I have been working a lot of overtime (good for the wallet, not so good for my quality of life).  I am beyond ready for this weekend, I have basically been ready since Monday morning.  Last weekend I was up in Orlando celebrating my friends up coming wedding and I also got to spend time with my sister and one of the little boys I used to do therapy with and his family, Lots of fun but was terrible for my sleep.  I feel like I have been trying to catch up on sleep all week long =(

Okay on to this weeks Friday Fabulous Five:

1) Sister Time:  One of the best parts of my week are getting to talk to my sister. And the best way to talk to her is on Facetime.  I love getting to see her and it feels a lot more like we are just hanging out and spending time together then talking on the phone.

2) New Music:  There is nothing like some fun music to get you in a good mood.  I just put some new music on my ipod this week making my dancing and singing in the shower much more exciting!

3) Therapy:  This week I began the therapy on my first pediatric speech client.  I am so excited and it feels so good to be doing what I do best Therapizing children!  As much as I am enjoying my job as the nursing home I have learned I am definitely a Pediatric therapist.

4) Fresh Orange Juice:  Yum Yum Yum! Thats all I can say.  Nothing better than Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice!

5) Crafts:  I have been getting my craft on and getting ready to decorate for St. Patty's Day! I made two felt wreaths and shamrock garland =)

Hope everyone is getting ready for a great weekend!  Let me know what made your week Fabulous!!

Birthday and Bacholerette

Things have been very busy around here.  Work has been crazy (lots of overtime for me).  But this weekend was lots of fun.  Friday was my Birthday!! And then Saturday I headed up to Orlando to celebrate my friend Chris' Bachelorette Party!

Friday I celebrated my 28th Birthday!  I spent the evening with Christopher and my parents.  We went to Benihana for Hibachi (which has kind of become a birthday tradition in our house).  The food was yummy, people sang to me, and I got a free dessert!  After dinner we went back to our house and had presents and cake.   I am excited to see what fun things 28 has in store for me!

Saturday I headed up to Orlando to celebrate my friend Chris' upcoming wedding.  We spent the afternoon at a wine glass painting class which was a lot of fun.  After making sure Chris would never run out of sexy lingerie, we headed out to dinner at can you guess... Benihana (Hibachi two nights in a row for this girl).  Our last stop of the night was Howl at the Moon a piano, lots of fun music and slightly dirty singing made for a fun evening.  Looking forward to celebrating Chris and John's wedding in 2 weeks!!
